These ten come from the easy end of the list below. Run through the same four steps the app uses: pick, answer, share. Swap in anything from the forty below if you'd rather.

Why most quiz questions are useless
The question 'what's your favourite colour' tells you nothing. Neither does 'do you like pizza'. A friendship quiz only gets interesting when the answers aren't obvious from the outside.
The best ones are specific and small: what someone does in the first five minutes of a bad day, whether they text back instantly or three days later, which of two friends they'd call first.
Below are forty, split into three levels. Level one is safe for a group chat. Level three is for people who've known each other a while.
Level 1 · easy
Ten warm-up questions
Safe to send to anyone. Good for a first round.
- Coffee, tea, or nothing in the morning?
- What's the last thing you do before bed?
- Window seat or aisle?
- What's your go-to order when you can't decide?
- How do you get to work or class?
- Do you make the bed?
- Pizza: crusts or no crusts?
- The one app you'd keep if you had to delete the rest?
- What time do you actually go to sleep?
- Do you answer calls from unknown numbers?
Level 2 · closer
Fifteen about habits
These start separating people. Most friends get five or six of these right.
- What do you do in the first ten minutes of a bad day?
- How late are you, usually?
- At a party, where are you standing?
- Who do you text when something good happens?
- What's the thing you always forget to bring?
- How many alarms do you set?
- What's the snack you buy without thinking?
- Do you read the group chat or just the last message?
- What's the chore you put off longest?
- When you're upset, do you want company or silence?
- Do you plan trips or wing them?
- What's your most-used emoji?
- How do you take your coffee?
- What do you do with a free hour?
- Do you answer messages in your head and forget to send them?
Level 3 · real
Fifteen that actually sting
For friends you've had for a while. Expect a few surprises.
- What's the thing you'd never say out loud in a group?
- Which of your friendships have you quietly let go of?
- What do you want that you've stopped mentioning?
- What do people get wrong about you?
- When did you last cry, and what set it off?
- What's the compliment you don't believe?
- What would you do with a year off?
- Who in your life would you call at 3am?
- What's a rule you follow that nobody else knows about?
- What are you pretending not to care about?
- Which decision are you still arguing with yourself about?
- What do you do when nobody's watching?
- What's the thing you're quietly good at?
- What would you change about how you grew up?
- What do you hope people say about you when you're not there?
Using them
How to turn any list into a real test
Copy ten of these into the quiz builder, mark your own answers, and send the link. That's the whole setup. A list of questions on a page is trivia; the same ten questions with an answer key is a test someone can fail.
One tip: mix the levels. Ten easy questions and everyone scores 90%, which tells you nothing. Three easy, four medium, three personal usually gives the widest spread of scores.
